Igalamela/Odolu : All PDP Aspiring Candidates Picked KSIEC Nomination/Intent Form & Ready for Council Election 2020



In an efforts to forge a common front for positve change down to the grassroots and continue to mobilise the citizens and work together as a team, assuring that the future will be bright for the party, all the aspiring  People’s Democratic Party candidates Igalamela/Odolu Local Government have successfully picked Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KSIEC) nomination/intent form for 12 December, 2020

The Polls in December is first in Kogi State for over seven years, and it is first to be held by the current  administration in fulfillment of one of the campaign promises of Governor Bello during his electioneering process for his second and final term of office.


In accordance with Governor Alhaji Yaya Bello directives earlier in March this year giving KSIEC a marching order to conduct Local Government Election on 12th December 2020.

The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it will only participate in the local government election fixed for Dec. 12 only if the process is transparent and credible.



The executive of the PDP urge members to forgive one another of past mistakes to enable the party to jointly move forward and upward to greater height. 

Below is the list of the Igalamela/ Odolu PDP aspiring candidates for election fixed on 12 Dec. 2020.

Ajaka Ward 1 : Hon. Ibrahim Odiba
Ajaka Ward II : Mohammed Ademu
Oforachi I : Abdulquadir Abubarkar
Oforachi II : Ayatu Oyibo
Odolu Ward : Abdullahi  Umoru
Oji-aji Ward : Onoja Friday
Avrugo Ward : Ezegwu Dennis
Ekwuloko Ward: Abuh Anthony
Akpanya Ward : Audu Christopher
Ubele Ward : Chenemi Onojah

Between 24th September and 2nd October, political parties would be expected to submit their forms while party primaries have been fixed between 6th October and 13th October. 19th October have been fixed for submission of forms at the SIEC headquarters while verification and documentations is fixed for between October 27 and November 3rd.


Campaign starts 4th November and end on 10th day of December as the final day of campaign respectively.

When elected, the Chairmen and Councilors would become substantive heads of their Local Government Areas, giving way to positions the Governor had used to fill the void since 2016.
