OPINION | PETER OBI,THE DRIVER TO PROMISE LAND, A NEW NIGERIA

His Excellency, Peter Gregory Obi was the former governor of Anambra state. He served eight (8)  good years in his capacity as governor under the umbrella of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Obi's antecedents do not exist in isolation.

H.E Peter Obi's track records of achievements in the state speak volumes. It is indeed a strong manifestation of his beliefs, philosophy of life and capability to rescue Nigeria come  2023 general election.  If Obi is elected as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Arm Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the auspices of the Labour party (LP), I am 100% sure that Nigeria and Nigerians will experience a divine turn around in human, physical and infrastructural development. He will set aside certain portion of the country, allocate landed property to anyone ready to build industries, with at least three years tax evation to ease businnes activities home and away. 

Peter obi is an excellent candidate. Many a man says Obi does not have the structure to aspire to such a highly exalted position. Funny enough, it is widely believed Obi exist and is popular only on social media. However, Obi intelligently said the people are his structures.  

According to Prof. Charles Soludo the sitting Governor of Anambra state

 " A man without counsellor cannot become the president of the country the 100M Nigerians wallowing in abject poverty are Peter obi's structure whom he's going to bring out of poverty if elected, his achievements are innumerable, he has shown the attributes of a good leader while in office". 

Soludo further said that Obi will take Nigeria from consumption to production level

 I believe so much that Obi can perform well. This is because he is a seasoned business tycoon with vast experience.

 Obi also made a similar statement that the money Nigeria gets from the oil sector per month can settle the poverty ravaging the country. This profound comment shows Obi is a man who has an allergy to spending money on the wrong things. 

Before departing office as Chief Executive Governor of Anambra State  Obi left about $500M in the State treasury.

Obi first contested Presidency with His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Obi was the running mate to Atiku in the 2019 election under PDP which they lost due to some reasons best to know to APC, everyone knew who won the election and who was declared the winner,  what a corrupt country we live in. 

The only candidate that can help us out of this corrupt country is Peter Obi. He,  first,  wanted to contest under the auspices PDP before he changed his mind to run under the labour party, he is a man well loved and cherished by the youths and  Nigerians as a whole. He is a very determined man who has the interest of Nigerians at heart Such is the kind of leader we want. 

The ruling party promised us heaven and Earth. But the reverse is the case, now. We are in a state of comatose and abject penury. The poor are getting poorer while the rich are also getting richer. 

His Excellency Peter Obi is the driver of the car to our promised Land. I  believe he is our own Moses who will lead the poorest of the poor Nigerians to God's own promised Land and a new Nigeria. The 'Obedient Movement' is a spiritual movement. I see God's backing in Obi's ambition. He has the fear of God and this informed the decision to visit many prominent Men and Women of God in this country for solidarity, support and to know God's opinion.  They have prayed earnestly to God for his victory and some endorsed and above all is God's will.

            Here are some of Peter Obi's achievements while in office:

    Management of funds: Under Obi, Anambra State became the first state in Nigeria to start sub-sovereign wealth savings, the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa at a time many other Governors were leaving huge debts. 

Peter Obi stated that he left the equivalent of $500m in investment in Anambra state in both local and foreign currency, including the sum of $156m in dollar-denominated bonds.

 Nigerian debt management office (DMO) rated Anambra as the least indebted state in Nigeria, Senate of the federal republic of Nigeria rated Anambra state as the most financially stable state in the country during his tenure.
