"YOU CAN FLOURISH LIKE A PALM TREE” – ENGR ROTIMI MASEKO PENS THIS CHARMING MESSAGE FROM BADAGRY BEACH, LAGOS. NIGERIA

One of the best feelings in life is exploring a brand new place you’ve never been to before. It was my first experience in Suntan Beach in Badagry- Lagos State amidst palm tree plantation.
The palm tree represents uprightness and victorious living. To flourish means to be long-lived, useful and fruitful. The good book says “the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon”. We can move from success to significance by making ourselves relevant to humanity.
My biological father, Chief Samuel Mesheko once advised me to always choose to be useful any where I find myself adding that one can also choose to be useless in life.

I dare to say that if we are not relevant we will become relics. The palm tree has distinguished itself by making every part of it useful to humanity.

The palm tree leaves can be used to make broom stick, ropes, and wrappers to mention but a few. More so, the stem is used for producing black boards, stick making, walking aids etc. We can also get palm wine, palm sugar, palm oil, coconut oil etc from the palm tree. Worthy of mention is the roots used as a whip and herbs. These are great lessons from the palm trees.

Your voice, talents, potentials, hands, legs, office , relationship , connections , etc should be used for the greater benefits of humanity.

The secret of growing your power is to use it for others especially for those who merit your relationship currency. Again, the secret of dying empty is to lift others as you rise and also by maximizing your potentials. In the words of Abraham Lincoln “the glory of a life is not the years in a life but the life in the years”.
 Stay motivated #Staysafe
