KOGI OIL PAYMENT: MATTERS ARISING!

Whoever mentions Emperor Yahaya Bello being instrumental to the declaration of Kogi as Oil producing state is simply not grounded in information, hypocritical or waxing in illusion of APC supporters.

The first instruments of reality were the IBAJI people. The crisis which drew the attention of state government lingered for months with several persons been killed in the process.

The second instrument of realization was the administration of former governor Idris Ichala Wada. And the formal declaration of during the administration of president Goodluck Jonathan. No be APC's Buhari or the rubber stamp National assembly.

Also, it was during Peter Obi as governor of Anambra state. The two governors were at loggerheads as blood flows in Ibaji communities. However, it is understood, Peter Obi was defending his own state. It is a case of sugar in the mouth, nobody will spit it out.

Emperor GYB simply cash out of that tussle as usual. The same way he cashed out on N50 billion loan Wada prospected with CBN.

Now, below are my concerns......

When the crisis between Ibaji and Anambra was on, there was no protest from our rival, Peter Obi simply sat in his office and followed up.

Secondly, in the then Federal government verdict, there was no independent findings to determine the actual owner of Ibaji oil. They simply separated two fighters.

Thirdly,  an ardent person may ask; why was Anambra state paid far two months before Kogi?

Bello's churlish attitude to transparency has also triggered the question on how much we received in line with the N268 million Anambra was paid.

Between the payment intervals, Bello's refusal to disclose how much was paid anointed the possibility of Kogi forfeiting what rightfully belong to her.

Save this post, it is a matter of sound legislation, Kogi state stands the highest chance of losing out, God forbid!

Meanwhile, I join the well meaning Kogites to ask the state government to consider IBAJI with the largest chunk of what was paid.

Those people paid a very huge price for what we are about to enjoy!

My take!
