Nuhu Anyegwu Sweeps Multiple Awards for Outstanding Performance as Provost Kogi State College of Health Sciences & Technology Idah

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength. It is not a lack of knowledge. However , it is a lack of will. Nothing can stop a man who have the will. The Provost College of Health Sciences and Technology Idah, San., Dr. Nuhu Solomon Anyegwu does not only have the will, he knows the way, the finesse to move the College from invidious reputation for ineptitude, inefficiency and stagnation to a global competitive standard.
Anyegwu is exemplar of excellence in service delivery, with the capacity to manage the technological, social and economic changes that have, and will continue, to take place. This singular act has attracted avalanches of awards for outstanding performance with tremendous honour, recognitions and higher appointments. The latest of the notable honour, commendations among myriads of awards bagged by Anyegwu for laudable achievements in the institution and immense contributions to nation building is from the –
1. Association of Provosts College of Health Sciences and Technology in Nigeria.
2. And award of excellence by Accolades of Communication Ltd, Publishers of 60 Leader Par Excellence acknowledging Anyegwu’s contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria @60.
3. African Update International Magazine and Legacy Centre, Ghana recognized Anyegwu for an outstanding personality for the year 2020
“ ...and you can vividly see how prudent , the Provost of this institution was able to manage the meagre resources they were able to generate internally. And within one year, here we are celebrating a landmark achievement. If over forty (40) years ago that the institution was established, various administration or Provost did what we have done, then that place would have a being more developed than any other health institutions in Nigeria” : Governor Bello said
In an interview with newsmen Anyegwu pointedly said. “There is this saying that in the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is established... I feel highly elated, delighted and fulfilled for the wonderful honour that comes my way. I thank God Almighty... I thank His Excellency, our education and health friendly Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State. Apart from awards from fellow Provosts , the state government led by His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello gave me a letter of commendation last year through the State Ministry of Health. Having discovered we have under my leadership being able to get accreditation for all the courses in the institution which hitherto were not made possible. Today we have had all the courses accredited at substantive level. Some are five years like Medical Laboratory.”
“We have health information, community health, pharmacy etc, all these courses have being accredited and in the recent time we have gotten interim accreditation by National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). It is something, they are seeing. It is evidently present , available on ground. It is not happening for political reason, neither is it for pecuniary gains.”
“Apart from that , there are lots of infrastructural transformation that was taking place in the institution under the auspices of Kogi State government led by HE Alhaji Yahaya Bello. You can see the remodeled and equipped world class Medical Laboratory, Science Lab – Physics, Chemistry. Biology and being restructured and fully equipped let alone to talk about ultra- modern College Clinic, Standard water factory with NAFDAC number, Lecture Halls – The Prince Abubakar Audu Lecture Halls ; the Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello Lecture Hall and so forth” : He added
