Igalamela/Odolu : PDP Mammoth Crowd Turn Out for Ward Meeting, Debunked Rumour 7,000 Members Defected to Opposition

A quick show of mammoth crowd on Sunday, indicated strong and overwhelming support for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward meetings at Odolu, Ojiaji and Olla ward in Igalamela/Odolu LG. It showcase an undeterred commitment to new leadership with energy, vision and finesse to move forward and upward. 

In fact, individual and groups that have been traditionally marginalized came out en masse to register their interest with PDP. This,  no doubt, greatly helped to dispel rumour, and campaign of calumny from certain quarters that seven thousand (7, 000) members of PDP defected with Friday Sani Makama to the other party. 

Evidence is the end of argument 

Such rumour is baseless, unfounded , untrue and a complete show of “ audio defection”. 

Addressing issues of concern to the precinct members and working to increase party members knowledge, empowerment and turn out , the former commissioner, Hon. Atakele, former Accountant General of the State, Ibrahim Aneku, and Pioneer party Chairman Hon. Edicha Akpada urged members of the party to be law abiding.

In their remarks at the ward party meetings, they expressed joy over the party’s performance on the non-defection of core stakeholders to the ruling party APC. This is a remarkably new atmosphere of hope eminent to the party. 

“ leaders with energy, vision and skill to pilot the affairs of the party to enviable height is what we need now”...

The turn out is a strong pointer for a healthy debate  to take place and  potential organs of the party to affirm majority position as the decision of the party without being imposed by one man’s square. No more, fears of the unknown, insecurity or rancour, everything will be birthed out of mutual understanding. 

The east while Councillor for Odolu ward, Hon. Steve Okpanchi (Jarosta) and Young Alhaji Councillor candidate of the hijacked election acknowledged the presence of supporters, advocate of good governance and the progressives, particularly Odolu ward.

They said the era of “ Obi is a boy, when will he become a master is over “. This is the dawn of a new PDP in Igalamela/Odolu LG to fill wards and precinct chair position with a more vibrant , people who will be strong grassroots leaders with positive change as their core mandates.

In the same vain, the LG party Chairman, Isah Edejo (Ebije), and Odolu ward counterpart Peter Achimugu declared their political stands in PDP. 

They resolved to remain not just a proactive , unshakable member of the best, dynamic party in Nigeria but ensure sustainable pragmatic approach in leadership at the home front democracy. This was declared while briefing Koginfo Newstainmemt.
