Nigeria: Igala kingdom Mourn in Silence, The Demise of A Crown, yet to be Officially Pronounced

The Atta Igala and President Kogi State Traditional Council of Chiefs HRM Dr. Michael Ameh Oboni II, by the grace of God is the Defender of the ancestral Faith of the good people of Igalaland. He is a mortal being like anyone and not going to live forever.

 However, the sudden demise of  the revered monarch came as a rude shock to Igalas. Because Igala people never knew life without a King talk less of a God send. 

There is no official confirmation yet concerning the  demise of  the King from either the state government or the the Monarch’s palace. This is partly because of the  traditional belief of the Igala people on the announcement of any Igala King’s demise. 

Sad to say, social media is awash by this unexpected information about Attah Igala with a litany of unconfirmed reports and surrounding circumstances.
