COVID-19 LOCKDOWN : SENATO DINO MELAYE INTRODUCED UNCOMMON WAY OF DISTRIBUTING PALLIATIVES TO CONSTITUENT
In a democracy, it is important that all voices are heard. Those who align with the party A and those on the far side Party B play an important role in shaping the dialogue for growth and development of a state like kogi and Nigeria at large.
One of the poltical leader at the forefront of making heard those who cannot speak for themselves irrespective of party affiliations is Senators Dino Melaye. He is constantly maintaining moderate and incremental steps towards building a sustainable egalitarian society. A society where nobody will be judged by the colors of his or her poltical party, or benefitting dividence of democracy without atmosphere of contention or sentiment.
Our State Kogi faces an abundance of problems, relegating opposition to the wall but none of them can be solved if our politicians can no longer come together and compromise through nonpartisan cooperation.
Popular Politician and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye is seriously setting the pace. A clear demonstration is found in a strong warning issued recently to those helping him to distribute Palliatives within Kogi West constituency.
The aim is to ease hardship in this unsettling time of Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.
The controversial Senator, while displaying hundreds of bags of rice deposited in front of his house, set for distribution, issued stern warning to his team to distribute the bags of rice to innocent masses without taking cognizance of party division. This is a foresight and kind gesture that is not common.
” Please I don’t want you to take any of these Rice to any leader’s house.” No PDP, No APC, this is just for the Masses. Please make sure you share it and anyone that takes it to his house God will find that person. This just is for innocent Masses of the Kogi West. And I’m sure by the grace of God, God will heal the land
