The Chinese city of Wuhan endured a stringent lockdown lasting more than two and a half months.
But on April 8, with the coronavirus outbreak finally under control in China, people began venturing out into the spring sunshine.
Here are some Reuters image of a city slowly coming back to life, after a traumatic ordeal which infected more than 50,000 and killed over 2,500, according to official statistics.
