Tonto Dike Sued for Peace Between ASUU and Federal Government, Advocate Women and Youth Inclusion in Decision Making

The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) played a host to a prestigious Nongovernmental Organisation christened the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitisation (CYMS). The aim is to officially celebrate the day 12th of August all set aside by the United Nations (UN)  as International Youth Day.

The philanthropist, Nollywood Actress and Social Media Influencer Tonto Dike was appointed by the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) as the Director, Socials & Empowerment on the 31st of July 2022. However, she broke the news on the 10th of August on her official  Instagram handle.

In her capacity as (CYMS) Director, Socials and Empowerment, Her Excellency, Amb Tonto Dikeh, emphasised the need for gender inclusion in decision making at the boardrooms of governance, and social protection for women to integrate them into policy formulation and implementation.

And, the efficacy of giving women equal opportunity to thrive in society rather than being subjected to kitchen roles alone or rendering them voiceless instead of giving everyone the ample opportunity to contribute to nation building.

In attendance also is Mr Obinna Nwaka Director General, CYMS. indeed  Nwaka, analyzed the activities, mandate of @cymsnigeria and its's supporting role towards youth development with few references to accommodating Youth Corps members, recent/upcoming International trade shows in the US, and facilitation of several empowerment schemes for the youth and so forth.

'On the ASUU strike, we jointly condemned the lingering, incessant disagreement between the Federal government & ASUU, while urging both parties to shelve their sword or make some sacrifices to get our students back to their classes.' Tonto pointedly remarked

Our general wish is to see the end of lawless killings across Nigeria, the end of the ASUU strike and active youth participation in governance by the youth.

' The program has nothing to do with my political aspiration, it was strictly on youth development which is my official responsibility to attend as a serving Director with CYMS Nigeria.: Tonto said
